Simulation- Intro and Conclusion

Introduction

This is the first step of the simulation. Explain to the students why you are there, what they will be doing, and what is going to happen. It is important to follow the lesson plan. Ask the students what they know about dyslexia, then give them the scientific definition. This should be a brief overview of dyslexia and the simulation.

Conclusion

Help the students process what they experienced and explain dyslexia more in depth. Explain how the dyslexic and non-dyslexic brains differ and the common symptons of dyslexia. Have the students answer the follow up questions. This is a good way to assess their learning and how effective your teaching was.
